Legal Recruiting Manager – Hybrid Opportunity

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As the Legal Recruiting Manager, you will oversee and manage legal recruiting and hiring for all lateral attorneys in the New York office. You will report to the National Director of Legal Recruiting and work closely with the Department Chairs, Office Managing Partners and Hiring Partners in the New York office to help recruit and hire attorney talent.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

On any given day, you will:

  • Work directly with Office Managing Partners, firm wide Department Chairs and other member of the Legal Recruiting team to attract and hire candidates from the law school level through partner hiring.
  • Creatively source candidates using tools provided by the firm to find and reach passive candidates.
  • Work with talent development and department/practice group heads to help determine staffing needs.
  • Oversee the Summer Associate Program by working with the recruiting coordinators and other team members.
  • Supervise and mentor other recruiting team members.
  • Collaborate on national projects as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

YOU HAVE:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of five years’ recruiting experience, ideally in partner recruiting
  • A strong knowledge of the legal market and professional relationships in local legal city groups and other organizations related to the legal industry
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills, an ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple and shifting priorities and the ability to communicate effectively with others
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of responsibility and will be proactive and a self-starter
  • Demonstrated leadership ability that promotes an environment of collaboration, teamwork and a culture of high performance
  • Recruit or other applicant tracking system experience
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and travel as needed
  • Previous supervisory experience strongly desired

The salary range for this role is $145,000 to $175,000 annually. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
