Winning With Magic – A Magician’s Approach to Negotiation

Can a magician’s secrets help you at the negotiation table? Can emotional intelligence be taught? Can the techniques and gambits used by a mentalist make you a more persuasive negotiator and respected business partner? The answer is YES. In 2019, Ryan began working with attorney David Ross, an adjunct professor at Columbia Law, to develop a talk that demonstrates how a magician’s understanding of perception can be turned into valuable insights at the negotiating table. Ryan has presented his unique insights to attorneys, legal professionals, mediators, and sales executives. Each semester, he also speaks to the Advanced Negotiation class at Columbia Law.
