Tirek J. Gayle serves as Director of Operations at Lowenstein Sandler, where he leads critical components of the firm's administrative infrastructure across its national office footprint. His responsibilities span secretarial operations, facilities management, event coordination, operational services and space planning. He leads a team of Office Administrators and partners with firm leadership and the Human Resources, Information Technology and Finance functions to align people, space and operational strategy with the firm's broader objectives. His career in legal services began as a paralegal and has included operations leadership roles within premier New York City law

firms.

A leadership strategist and professional coach, Tirek's approach to developing people has been shaped by a lifetime in basketball. A former collegiate player, he competed at Madison Square Garden, won a New York City Public Schools Athletic League high school championship, earned multiple tournament MVP honors and remains listed among Vassar College's all-time leaders in scoring and rebounding. He later coached across AAU, middle school, high school, junior college and NCAA Division III basketball. It was through coaching young athletes that he

first recognized how deeply he valued helping others see and develop potential they might not yet see in themselves.

Tirek is an ICF Certified Coach who completed his formal coach training through iCoach Global, part of Yeshiva University. His coaching credential strengthens his practice. His lifetime of developing people gives it depth. His leadership extends beyond his professional role. Tirek serves as President of the New York City Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, becoming the first Black man to hold the position. He previously served as an elected Director of the Cornwall, New York School Board, where he was the first Black person elected to the board,

and he chairs the African American Affinity Group for the national Association of Legal Administrators.

Growing up in LeFrak City in Queens, New York, Tirek learned early that talent alone would never be enough. His mother and grandmother instilled in him an uncompromising work ethic, integrity, perseverance and the importance of always being prepared. Those lessons would eventually carry him from the basketball courts of Queens into rooms he once may not have imagined himself entering. Today, much of Tirek's work is about helping others recognize that they belong in those rooms too.

As a graduate of Vassar College with a degree in Political Science and an MBA in Business Management from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business, Tirek's experiences as an athlete, coach and executive leader helped shape The Championship Mindset and his philosophy that potential is only the beginning. Meaningful achievement requires the belief to see what is possible, the preparation to pursue it, the willingness to transform and the ability to execute when the moment arrives.

Different rooms bring different challenges, and different people pursue different championships. The principle at the center of Tirek's work remains the same: help people recognize what is possible, define the championship they are pursuing and prepare themselves for what achieving it will require.
