Who We Are
Founded in 1977, the New York City Chapter serves approximately 250 members. Our members cover the entire spectrum of the New York City area legal landscape – from small boutiques to large global firms.
Awards and Certifications
The Chapter is the recipient of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) Presidents’ Award of Excellence, which recognizes chapters for their efforts in effective chapter leadership. We are committed to promoting professionalism and improving legal management quality. We work to create thought-provoking initiatives for our members to stay ahead of the curve on the latest industry trends.
As an accredited Certified Legal Manager (CLM) Provider, we offer high-quality educational programs and webinars that count towards the CLM designation for legal office managers, demonstrating expertise in legal management. Our programs cover all key management areas, including legal management, finance, information technology and human resources topics.
The Chapter is also recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and offers Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for our programs. We provide members with up-to-date programming on human resources best practices and industry trends.
