As busy Legal Administrators, we all need to keep up with the ever changing Labor & Employment landscape.  During the last year and a half, new developments have moved at a supersonic pace – sometimes changing on a weekly – or even daily basis.

Our longtime friend of the ALA, Dean Silverberg of Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., who has presented at past ALA Symposiums and other ALA venues, will be our luncheon speaker for our January 13 Labor & Employment Update where he will share his thoughts and observations on the development in several key areas in labor and employment law and what the New Year may bring for law firms.

Dean L. Silverberg is a Member of Epstein Becker Green in the Labor and Employment practice, in the firm’s New York office. He practices both public and private-sector labor and employment law, and is actively involved in employment and workplace tort litigation, labor arbitration, collective bargaining negotiations, wage and hour audits, and human resource consultation and management. 

Mr. Silverberg coauthored the Employer’s Guide to Military Leave Compliance, published by Thompson Publishing Group. Mr. Silverberg frequently writes and lectures on a range of employment law topics including employment and workplace tort litigation, worker classification matters, human resource consultation and management, and military leave compliance.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Silverberg was deputy counsel to Mayor Edward I. Koch of New York City. He served as an advisor to the Mayor’s Office in connection with public-sector labor relations, personnel management, and civil service administration.
