One of ALA’s goals is to increase diversity in the Association, the legal management community and legal service organizations. The ALA Diversity & Inclusion Initiative is designed to increase awareness of and sensitivity to the differences among our workforce and to advance the concepts of inclusiveness and acceptance. To meet these goals ALA has created leadership panels, educational presentations and programs. The New York City Chapter is committed to leading the way with diversity initiatives through leadership, education, advancement and development.
