September 15 through October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month.
It is a time for all Americans to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, influences, diverse cultures, and history of America’s Latino community.
Beginning in 1968 as Hispanic Week, Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated through cultural festivals, film, dance, Latin American cuisine, conferences, and community gatherings.
This year’s National Hispanic Heritage Month theme, “Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress in America”, recognizes the significant strides of Latinos in the economic, political, and social growth of the U.S.
